The Department of Development, Operation, and Integration of Information Systems (VPaIIS) is the technological hub for software development at TUKE. Our vision is to contribute to a modern, digitally connected, and data-driven university. We create an environment where systems communicate seamlessly, data is meaningful, and technologies support education, research, and daily operations. The university should be moving forward — and we are its technological software engine.
We oversee the development, operation, and integration of more than 70 internal information systems, applications, and tools used daily by thousands of users. Our goal is to connect data, unify processes, and deliver user-friendly digital solutions for everyone.
We are building a unified digital platform that eliminates unnecessary duplicate systems, connects university data, streamlines workflows, and enhances transparency in information management. We focus on data centralization, process digitalization, agenda automation, and continuous modernization. Our solutions integrate technology, people, and university values into a cohesive whole.

We utilize TUKE's private cloud and all available hardware resources. We're actively working on deploying artificial intelligence for data processing and analysis. Every solution is designed to be interconnected, sustainable, and scalable.
Faculties, research teams, and administrative units can collaborate with us to meet their IT needs — from consultation and design to development and operation. We assist in creating and designing systems, websites, integrating data, optimizing processes, and providing data consulting.

One of our primary goals is to unify and standardize data across the university. We prepare BI reports and analytical outputs that support university management, study departments, and research teams. We monitor system behavior, identify anomalies, visualize trends, and help make qualified decisions based on quality data.

We offer opportunities to collaborate on thesis projects and internships, as well as longer-term involvement in teams working on the development and maintenance of university systems.
You can get involved as a programmer, developer, software architect, IT project manager, data analyst, or even a prompt engineer. You’ll apply your skills in development, testing, DevOps, data analytics, or project management. We work in an agile way, communicate openly, and create an environment that supports continuous learning.
